SydCom's FTP service is available to all SydCom dial-up members 24 hours a day to login and upload your web pages to the web space that comes with your dialup account.
To access this space, we recommend using the following FTP program.
ws_FTP from IPSwitch® for Win95/Win98/Win2000/WinXP/Vista
Their are only a few things to fill out in order to connect to our FTP server.
1. Hostname: ftp.sydcom.net
2. Username: use your regular dial-in username
3. Password: use your regular dial-in password
Do not place anything in the "initial directory" settings, it is not necessary, your username and password will take you directly into the root of your web space.
If you name the first page of your site one of the following file names, you will not nee to type that file in your web browser in order to get access to the first page.
default.htm | default.html | index.htm | index.html
Your web address will be:
http://www.sydcom.net/users/Username/
(replace username with your real username).
